BlueBet review

BlueBet is one of Australia’s very own bookmakers that was launched back in 2015, meaning they have been in the market for a number of years now and in that time has built a great reputation for themselves. BlueBet are a safe and secure bookmaker that are licensed by the NSW Government and are regulated by Racing NSW. BlueBet is 100% Australian owned, it is not a global sportsbook. Interestingly, the CEO, Michael Sullivan, was the former Chief Executive of Sportingbet Australia and we all know Sportingbet were one of the biggest bookmakers in Australia.

In this bookmaker review, we are going to take a look at what BlueBet has to offer and how they compare against other online betting sites in the industry

Website Layout & Interface

The layout and interface of BlueBet is very simple and easy to navigate, it is what you want from a betting site really. BlueBet have gone for a colour scheme of blue, white and red, it almost looks similar to the global betting site BetFred.

Across the top of the bookmaker, we have the BlueBet logo, the promotions tab and the Bluebet login options. Underneath the header, there is a slideshow banner which shows you the different markets that you can wager on. If this was a UK betting site, this is where you would typically find the best promotions advertised but because of the laws surrounding Australian online betting, this is not the case. Down the left side is the menu section, you can find the most popular markets and then a list of the different sports to bet on and what day they are on. If you want to see what’s upcoming, you can do down the middle of the page, you can choose from a few sports to look at and then see what fixtures are upcoming. On the right you can find your betting slip, any selection that you make will appear in this betting slip for you to then place a bet on, the more you add, the more betting types you can perform.

At the bottom of the site you can find quick links which will take you to different parts of the sites, including a list of the markets that you can bet on. You can see their most secure payment methods and also their licensing certificates.

BlueBet promotions

BlueBet does in fact have some bonus bet promotions available on their website for customers to enjoy. Please be aware, BlueBet’s promotions are not available to residents of New South Wales or Western Australia.

Due to the gambling laws in Australia, betting sites are not allowed to advertise bonuses to new customers as a tactic to get them to register.

When you do register, please read through the terms and conditions that the sites have to offer. Some T&Cs are stricter than others. For example different sites offer different turnover requirements, wagering requirements, starting price, depositing options, minimum deposits, withdrawal options, fixed odds winnings and more.

BlueBet betting markets

There are a range of betting markets available for you to try out at BlueBet. It has to be said that they do not offer the widest range of sports compared to a betting site like Bet365, however they do make up for it with the quality of markets and also the BlueBet odds that they offer.

BlueBet like to be a little niche and want to offer quality in the areas they do provide instead of trying to cover ever area. The markets that you will find at this Australian bookmaker include American Football, Aussie Rules, Baseball, Basketball, Cricket, Golf, Ice Hockey, Motor Racing, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer, Tennis.

Once you have then chosen the sport that you would like to bet on, you can then take a look at the markets within these sports, so you have the different league and events to bet on. After that you can choose what exactly it is you would like to predict, whether that be the match result, or who to score first, or the score at each interval and much more. Not to forget the different betting types like Quinella, Exacta, Trifecta.

Betting odds

This Australian owned betting site like to pride themselves on having fixed odds that customers love. They want to be able to attract customers through their appealing betting odds. We think that this is certainly a great way of drawing people in because it is clear that any bettor wants to get the highest pay out possible for their wager.

The minimum amount that you can bet is as low as $1. This is great news if you are either new to the betting site or someone who isn’t particularly interested in wagering high amounts. Although if you were to bet over the phone, then this changes and the minimum betting amount becomes higher, at $50. In-play betting has to be done over the phone in Australia.

The maximum amount that this bookmaker will pay out is a total of $200,000, only if this is a telephone wager. If the wager is done on the internet, then the maximum wager amount becomes $100,000.

Live betting

BlueBet allow customers to bet live on selected markets. This is also known as in-play betting. If you are betting in-play, then it means you are predicting an outcome of an event whilst it is underway. For example, you might decide to predict what soccer team will win, whilst the game is currently at half time. Unfortunately, there is no live streaming option on this betting site. This is something that customers would like to see but not a lot of bookmakers offer it. It could be something that may occur in the future.

Racing betting

BlueBet are very competitive in the racing market and it is fair to say that they provide a lot of choice. Racing is extremely popular amongst bettors and for good reason, there is so much excitement and money to be won! One of the most popular racing events is the Tancred stakes! This is hugely popular in Australia and there is so much choice in terms of betting options.

If you head over to the racing section on the betting website, you can see all the upcoming races, what time they are racing and what horses are participating in the race for you to bet on. Depending on what race it is, will determine what you can bet on. Here are some of the most common betting types when it comes to horse racing betting at BlueBet: Best Tote Plus SP, Best of 3 Totes, Home Tote, Middle Tote, Best of 2 Totes, Win or Place, Multibets, Exotic bets and more. If you need help with betting, you can take at our betting tips, more specifically our racing tips for help. Horse racing tips not only can be hard to find but also hard to trust.
