Neds betting review

Neds launched in October 2017 in time for the Spring Racing Carnival. The online bookmaker is the brainchild of former Ladbrokes CEO and founder Dean Shannon. It has been speculated that the Neds brand will target lottery products too, but for the time being, its focus is purely on acquiring news customers, and engaging existing ones with its sports and horse racing betting service.

Neds do not provide any bet promotions and specials of note. The ones they do provide, are not available to residents of NSW and WA. In line with the Ladbrokes Australia bookmaking business, Shannon is also offering punters the best betting products to bet with every day. One key advantage Shannon now has over his former businesses, is a state-of-the-art wagering platform. The interface is smart, slick and capable of handling a mass of transactions simultaneously.

Don't bother if you use promotions

I'm an avid AFL punter, but during the off season will bet on pretty much anything so long as a promotion is available. I joined Neds in an attempt to support an Australian operation, and within a month, they had revoked my access to promotions, quarantined my bonus bets, and sent me a lovely email assuring me that I can still use their standard system.

yeah, nah... William Hill can take my money when the AFL season starts. I don't have much time for this kind of customer cherry picking attitude. Seeya Neds.

I would give no star if it allow, and i have to put 1 star for the review.

Neds can just suspend your account without even letting you know either a call or email!

My accounts was suspend randomly and they would not tell you why it is suspend and keep telling me someone will contact me shortly. I have not receive a call for a week now and i have money inside the account which they decide to take! I also have bets on soccer which i cannot see anymore.

For anyone who want to bet, DO NOT BET WITH NEDS they are the worst agency that you will ever bet with and they will take all your money for no reason!

New bookmaker, ambitious plans

Since its inception, the Neds brand has been ever-present thanks to a flurry of advertising. Behind the razzle-dazzle though, is a highly sophisticated wagering platform that has been developed using the Go computer programming language, first put to use by Google. Owner Dean Shannon has set a new benchmark in online betting with the Neds betting site. He means business, and this is good news for customers.

Neds website and navigation

The Neds website is one of the most visually appealing and efficient functioning betting sites in the Australian industry. It is arguably better than the award-winning Unibet site. Users can easily navigate between sports and place bets without experiencing any hassle scrolling between pages.

Sports betting with Neds

Neds offers a wide range of betting markets on all sports. Particular emphasis is placed on popular Australian sports including: the Big Bash, tennis and all forms of soccer, where extra markets are available. When winter rolls around, we’re sure the AFL and NRL feature prominently too.

Horse racing

The feature worth highlighting with Neds’ horse betting offering is the availability of industry best betting products. Best of the Best is available on all metropolitan race meets, it is a product that you find with Bet365. When Best of the Best is not available, members can still look for a good value alternative like the the best SP or tote product.

Neds contact information

Members and prospective members can contact Neds via a variety of channels. They have a FAQ page that is likely to resolve a proportion of queries. They also offer a live chat facility and email support. Beyond that, it’s still possible to ring through bets or speak to an operator that can assist with technical questions.

Neds review summary

Whilst still in their infancy, it appears that Neds is going to be a serious player in the online betting industry. The investment made into the website programming and interface, together with the aggressive marketing launch, suggest that owner Dean Shannon means business. However, Neds has a long way to go to emulate the success of Australia’s most popular bookmaker Sportsbet.
